John 5:1-9 NKJV
1 After this there was a feast of the Jews, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
2 Now there is in Jerusalem by the Sheep Gate a pool, which is called in Hebrew, Bethesda, having five porches.
3 In these lay a great multitude of sick people, blind, lame, paralyzed, waiting for the moving of the water.
4 For an angel went down at a certain time into the pool and stirred up the water; then whoever stepped in first, after the stirring of the water, was made well of whatever disease he had.
5 Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity thirty-eight years.
6 When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to be made well?”
7 The sick man answered Him, “Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me.”
8 Jesus said to him, “Rise, take up your bed and walk.”
9 And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked. And that day was the Sabbath.
He has had infirmity for 38 years, yet he was found by the Pool of Bethesda. Although he will need assistant of someone to put him in the pool whenever the water is stirred up, yet he didn't give up.
Multitude at the pool were waiting for the water to be stirred up, only one person will be made whole each time the water was stirred, the fastest person will be the lucky person. The chances of the man Jesus healed at the pool was very slim (because only one person will be healed per stir, multitude is waiting for the stir and the man in question will need someone to put him in the pool) yet, he didn't give up.
Do you want to be made well? He simply explained his predicament to the son of God and his woeful story became a testimony. What is your own infinity what are your predicaments? Do not give up on yourself, do not give up at all. Thirty-Eight years of infirmity yielded to a testimony we have been reading in the Bible for over 2000 years.
Explain your predicaments to the son of God to, He knows what you have been going through, He loves you, He paid a great price by laying down His life to redeem you. You are very precious to Him. Believe in Him, trust Him, have faith in Him and He will visit your situation. Do not give up.
Your testimony will be full in Jesus name.
Have a wonderful week.
God bless you.
